Having trained as a panelbeater on leaving school my passion for metal was born.
I progressed to become a designer in the leisure vehicle industry and won numerous awards
for innovation and design.
On retiring I was soon aware my creative side refused to sit still.
Back to my love of metal, I decided to use my skills to create natural pieces, finding inspiration whilst walking our dog Jess in the countryside around our village
of Castle Donington.
Working mainly in steel for the leaves and stems and copper for some of my flora and insects because of its vivid patina achieved when flame treated. I would hope you take as much pleasure owning my work as I do creating it.
Craft fairs that Nature of Steel will be attending in 2013:
Find us at Tissington Craft Fair over Easter weekend - 30th, 31st March and 1st April.
